KWL

The student creates the concept within his cognitive structure when he can ask himself and answer the following three questions

 1-What I already know

  In this step, the students recall  what they have information and prior experience about the topic or what is related to it, and it can be used to understand the new topic, and this is the basis upon which

 

 2-What I want to Learn

   In this step, students determine what they want to learn through this topic, or they want to search for it and discover it

 

3-What I Learned

This step, students evaluate what they learned about  the topic and how they benefited from it, and it aims to correct wrong beliefs and provide them with correct scientific concepts by balancing what they have learned with what they previously believed, and thus contributes to organizing and summarizing the thinking
